*Luka Chuppi* is a lighthearted comedy about Guddu (Kartik Aaryan), a news reporter in Mathura, and Rashmi (Kriti Sanon), the daughter of a conservative politician. Sparks fly between the two, and Rashmi suggests a live-in relationship to test compatibility. Pretending to be married, they face nosy neighbors, family pressures, and a web of lies, leading to hilarious and chaotic situations.
Director Laxman Utekar keeps the story simple, peppering it with situational gags and subtle social messages. The film explores themes like progressive attitudes in families, gender roles, and marginalization, delivering insights through humor. Kriti and Kartik share great chemistry, and their families add a mix of modernity and traditional quirks.
The supporting cast shines, especially Pankaj Tripathi as a quirky, sex-obsessed relative and Aparshakti Khurana as Guddu’s subtle yet impactful cameraman friend. The dialogues are witty, and the clever use of old songs adds charm.
Kriti Sanon is spontaneous and lively, while Kartik Aaryan brings his signature charm. The film is shot beautifully in Mathura and Gwalior, grounding the humor in a vibrant, small-town setting. *Luka Chuppi* delivers wholesome, clean entertainment—a welcome escape from heavier real-life events.
