Anil Kapoor (born 24 December 1956) is an Indian actor and producer, known for his remarkable career in Hindi cinema, spanning over 40 years. He has appeared in over 100 films and has won multiple awards, including two National Film Awards and seven Filmfare Awards. Kapoor made his debut in Bollywood with a small role in *Hamare Tumhare* (1979) and quickly gained recognition with his breakthrough role in *Mashaal* (1984). He went on to star in several successful films such as *Meri Jung* (1985), *Mr. India* (1987), *Tezaab* (1988), and *Ram Lakhan* (1989), which solidified his status as a top Bollywood actor.

In the 1990s, Kapoor continued to be a leading man with films like *Beta* (1992), *Laadla* (1994), *Virasat* (1997), and *Judaai* (1997), all of which were major successes. His performance in *Pukar* (2000) earned him the National Film Award for Best Actor. He later ventured into international cinema, with his first role in *Slumdog Millionaire* (2008), followed by appearances in *Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol* (2011) and the TV series *24* (2010).

Kapoor comes from a prominent film family. His father, Surinder Kapoor, was a film producer, and his brother, Boney Kapoor, is also a producer. He is married to Sunita Kapoor, and his children, Harshvardhan and Sonam Kapoor, have pursued careers in acting. Kapoor has established himself as one of the most versatile and enduring actors in the Indian film industry.
