*2.0* is a sequel to Shankar's *Robot* (2010), centering on Chitti's return to combat a supernatural force linked to mobile radiation. The story begins with the suicide of Pakshirajan (Akshay Kumar), an ornithologist whose pleas to reduce mobile radiation go ignored. After his death, he transforms into a powerful entity targeting humans for their environmental neglect. Professor Vasigaran (Rajinikanth), his humanoid assistant Nila (Amy Jackson), and Chitti face off against this force in a high-stakes battle.

The film's visual effects are extraordinary, with mobiles forming towers, claws, and even a giant bird, creating Hollywood-level action sequences. The showdown between a massive Pakshirajan and Chitti is especially thrilling, evoking Japanese monster films. The introduction of 3.0 adds a surprising twist.

While the action dazzles, the plot demands suspension of disbelief, with vague explanations about "positive waves" and a weak subplot involving Dhirendra Bohra. The environmental message about protecting all species gets overshadowed by the spectacle.

Rajinikanth shines with his charisma, delivering punchy lines and action in style. Akshay Kumar gives a heartfelt performance as Pakshirajan, channeling the anguish of a naturalist like Dr. Salim Ali. Amy Jackson impresses as the humanoid Nila.

Shankar blends Western influences with Indian sensibilities, delivering a visually stunning yet emotionally grounded film. *2.0* entertains as a family-friendly blockbuster with a subtle caution about mobile dependency, making the long production wait worthwhile.
