**Review Summary: *Rashtra Kavach Om***

*Rashtra Kavach Om* is an action-packed, patriotic thriller that starts with an absurd, over-the-top sequence where Om (Aditya Roy Kapur) survives a parachuteless jump onto a battleship, gets shot in the head, and only suffers amnesia. From there, the film spirals into a convoluted tale involving a futuristic shield technology that could protect India from nuclear attacks. Om embarks on a mission to stop rogue elements from selling this tech, while grappling with his past and the mystery surrounding his father's death.

The premise of a patriotic amnesiac superhero with family drama and a complex plot sounds promising, but the execution falters. The film is weighed down by unnecessary twists and a convoluted storyline, which makes it difficult to follow. The loud background score and the chaotic narrative only add to the frustration, making the film feel longer than it should.

Aditya Roy Kapur’s physical transformation and his attempt to step away from his usual romantic roles are commendable, and he performs well in the action sequences, looking impressive in slow-motion shots while dispatching enemies. However, the lack of a deeper emotional connection between his character and the female lead, played by Sanjana Sanghi, detracts from the impact. Sanghi does well in the action scenes but the romance angle is underdeveloped.

Veteran actors like Jackie Shroff, Ashutosh Rana, and Prakash Raj try their best to add depth to the film, but their efforts are lost in the confusion of the narrative. *Rashtra Kavach Om* is a film meant for fans of mindless action and Aditya Roy Kapur’s new avatar as an action hero, but for anyone else, it may come off as a tiring and overly complicated watch.
