*Code Name: Tiranga* (2022) is an action-packed spy thriller centered around Durga Singh (Parineeti Chopra), a female RAW agent tasked with tracking down the dangerous terrorist Khalid Omar (Sharad Kelkar). The film begins with Durga meeting Dr. Mirza Ali (Harrdy Sandhu), a man who appears to be her romantic interest, but it’s soon revealed that she’s using him as a decoy to infiltrate a larger mission. Her true objective is to find and eliminate Khalid Omar, who is hiding in Turkey. Along the way, Durga learns that her handler, Ajay Bakshi (Dibyendu Bhattacharya), has gone rogue, further complicating her mission.

The film draws comparisons to other spy thrillers like *Salt* (2010) and *Atomic Blonde* (2017), and in terms of treatment, it’s closer to *Dhaakad* (2022). Parineeti Chopra plays a superspy who is highly skilled in combat, able to outsmart and outfight enemies with ease. The film features several thrilling action sequences, including well-choreographed gunfights, hand-to-hand combat, and a gripping battle scene with mercenaries. The film’s visuals are enhanced by its international locations, and the chase sequences are handled well.

However, the film falters in its storyline. While the action keeps things engaging, the plot is predictable, and there are no significant twists to surprise the audience. The romance between Durga and Dr. Mirza is underdeveloped, and there is no emotional depth to their relationship, making it hard to connect with the characters beyond their roles in the action scenes. The lack of a strong narrative and fleshed-out characters leaves the film feeling superficial despite its impressive action set-pieces.

Harrdy Sandhu, though limited in screen time, performs well in his role and makes a solid impression. Parineeti Chopra fully commits to her physically demanding role, but her performance is restricted by the lack of depth in the script. She excels in the action sequences but doesn’t get much opportunity to showcase her acting range.

*Code Name: Tiranga* is best suited for viewers who are die-hard fans of action films and are looking for an adrenaline rush. However, those expecting a well-rounded spy thriller with a gripping plot and emotional core might be disappointed. The film's focus on action over substance makes it a watchable, but ultimately forgettable, entry in the genre.
