Fighter

*Fighter* is an action-packed tribute to the Indian Air Force (IAF) and the country's armed forces, with high-octane aerial combat sequences and a healthy dose of patriotism. The story revolves around Group Captain Rakesh Jaisingh (Anil Kapoor), leader of the newly formed Air Dragons unit, a team of elite pilots, including Squadron Leaders Shamsher Pathania (Hrithik Roshan), Minal Rathore (Deepika Padukone), Sartaj Gill (Karan Singh Grover), and Basheer Khan (Akshay Oberoi). This mixed team of fighter and helicopter pilots is tasked with responding to a terrorist attack and ensuring the security of Indian forces stationed in Kashmir.

The plot thickens when, after a successful air raid on a terrorist camp in Pakistan, the IAF pilots are caught in a dangerous escalation. Pakistani forces retaliate, and some of the pilots are captured, leading to a high-stakes rescue mission. While the movie is heavily inspired by *Top Gun* (1986), it draws upon real-world events like the Pulwama attack and the capture of Indian pilot Abhinandan Varthaman, creating a thrilling narrative about bravery, brotherhood, and sacrifice.

The film excels in its action, with spectacular aerial dogfights and dramatic ground combat sequences, all backed by impressive production values. It’s not just about the action, though; the camaraderie among the pilots, their emotional struggles, and their unshakable patriotism give the film depth. Hrithik Roshan’s performance as the flawed yet determined fighter pilot, Patty, stands out, as he balances his character's arrogance with vulnerability. Deepika Padukone adds another layer to the film with her portrayal of Minal Rathore, a chopper pilot who also grapples with personal challenges. Together, Hrithik and Deepika share strong chemistry, making their interactions compelling to watch.

Anil Kapoor, though in his 60s, convincingly plays a stern yet supportive leader, providing a solid counterbalance to Hrithik’s character. However, Rishabh Sawhney's portrayal of the villainous terrorist lacks the menace expected of such a role.

Overall, *Fighter* is an exhilarating ride with thrilling air combat, emotional depth, and a strong sense of patriotism. It's a must-watch for action enthusiasts and fans of Hrithik and Deepika's performances.
