At their own version of Comic-Con, D23, Pixar has just revealed the pitches for the two films set to release after *Brave* and *Monsters University*. The studio had already reserved two release dates without disclosing any other details, but now we have the info:
Bob Peterson (co-director and writer of *Up*), Peter Sohn (director of the adorable *Partly Cloudy* short), and producer John Walker (from *The Incredibles*) announced that Pixar’s November 27, 2013 release will be set in an alternate modern world where the asteroid that wiped out the dinosaurs never struck the Gulf of Mexico. Instead, dinosaurs co-exist with humans. This story will follow a boy and his pet brontosaurus. Designs for this idea had been teased in a Pixar photo from a few years back, which had sparked much speculation—happy to see it confirmed as a feature, especially as a dinosaur fan.
The second project, directed by Pete Docter and set for release on May 30, 2014, will be a film that takes place entirely within the human mind. It’s being described as "wildly ambitious, even for Pixar."
This lineup is far more exciting than sequels!
